Guidance Department Virtual Office
Check out our Virtual Post-High School planning room!
The Guidance Department has created a virtual "Post-High School Planning room" for the Class of 2022. It is time to begin discussing potential plans for after high school, and what steps are needed to take to achieve those goals. The planning room shows the most common post-high school pathways, which lead to detailed presentations about each option. Please click on your preferred choice and watch the video presentation.
In response to the hybrid/remote schedule and current social distancing parameters, the Hamilton West High School Guidance Department is offering many virtual services for our students and parents. School Counselors have Google classrooms for each of their grade levels, created virtual offices filled with important information and links, and are available for virtual meetings. The Guidance website has been updated to reflect these new services, including several virtual presentations, paperless request forms for college and scholarships, and detailed contact information for each Counselor. Students should reach out to their individual Counselor through email to schedule a personal meeting.

Community Resource Guide
The primary role of the schools is to educate children; we as a school district recognize that we can also serve to assist families who are dealing with difficult situations with their children. These issues can clearly impact the child’s ability to benefit from educational experiences. In an effort to assist families, what follows is an updated guide for both parents and professionals, which outlines services for children and families experiencing challenging situations. While this resource guide is not meant to be inclusive of every provider, it does represent a comprehensive list of local providers, services and agencies as well as national hotlines related to various issues. Please be advised that Hamilton Township School District is not recommending any specific provider, but is providing a variety of potential resources as a service to its families. Please note that while many providers do not accept insurance, the client is able to submit receipts to their health insurance for reimbursement when out of network benefits are allowed.
The goal of the Hamilton High School West Guidance Department is to help students learn to make their own decisions concerning life's many choices - educational, career/vocational, and personal. Students are encouraged to seek assistance from their counselors when needed.
The Hamilton West School Counselors and Student Assistance Couselor are committed to providing high quality personal service in an atmosphere of trust and support.
