We use the Zones of Regulation in our classroom to help develop or social/emotional awareness and help the transition into middle school and beyond. We focus on individual academic needs for Math and ELA. This year for Social Studies and Science, we will be following the 8th grade program. That means that Social Studies will be American History through the Civil War and Science will be Geologic Processes, Earth & Human Activity, Evolution & Natural Selection, and Chemistry. We will be learning a lot this year!

My expectation is that students come in and do their best! We will be working and learning together while trying to navigate the world around us as best we can. We've got this!

Grading Scale: 50% Summative Grades [things like tests, quizzes, major projects]; 40% Formative [mostly classwork]; 10% Individual Practice [things like homework or some classwork]
