I graduated from Holy Family University with a duel Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.  I started my teaching career at Mercerville 15 years ago.  I taught kindergarten for 9 years, in an Inclusion classroom with my teaching partner, Mrs. Ryan.  Together, we moved up to second grade and continued to teach the inclusion class in that new grade for 6 years.  As Mrs. Ryan recently retired this past summer, I knew that remaining in second grade at Mercerville was where my heart was, and where the future of my career path was suppossed to be! I am excited to get to know your children, and watch them learn grow throughout our year together. 

My teaching philosophy continues to be to create engaging, hands-on, student driven lessons and activities to be able to meet the needs of all of my learners, while challenging them to stretch their individual learning possibilities. I believe that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential.

I have three children of my own, and truly cherish watching them grow each day. They are very active in sports and we enjoy spending time being active outside together.
