I am Mrs. Jennifer Chiorello and this will be my 16th year as an elementary school teacher. As always, I am extremely excited to begin this year in a 2nd grade inclusion classroom at University Heights Elementary and I consider myself very fortunate to be among such a professional faculty. I realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best this year to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience in the classroom.
As a teacher, my goal is to inspire and challenge my students to work hard and achieve more than they think is possible by creating an environment in which they are motivated to learn and try new things. I hope to encourage them to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and life-long learners. I set high academic, behavioral, and social expectations for each student and challenge them beyond what they believe they can do.
We have a very busy and exciting year in store for us! We both need to be partners in the learning process. Since you are the most important individuals in your child’s life, your interest and support is key. I need each of you to encourage your child at home by helping to ensure that they have completed their assignments, and help them study for quizzes & tests, if necessary. I will keep you informed of all assignments and subjects that are covered in class. I am looking forward to a successful year with you and your child
