Remote Learning Questions
What assignments should my child complete each day?
We are now doing ONLINE LEARNING for all subjects. Students should sign in to our Google Classroom, take attendace, and click our Google Meet Link (founded on our Google Class wall) MTWTF at 10:30am. We will have morning meeting, go over announcments, and break into groups for lessons.
Are we doing packets anymore?
No. We are now shifting everything onto computers. Please keep all complete packets from Week 1-4 in envelopes. Arrangements will be made for teachers to assess the work at another time. It is very important for students to be signing into Google Classroom every morning at 10:30 Monday-Friday.
Can my child use a phone or tablet? Do we need a computer or laptop?
No, a phone or tablet will not work for online learning. It is important for every student to have a computer or laptop. Please email me to make an appoitment to borrow a laptop from the Hamilton District. This is very important.
How can my child communicate with you if they have a question?
The best way to reach me and communicate about assignments specifically is through Google Classroom. Each student was given a yellow paper explaining Google Classroom including their email and password to enter. I am also available through my school email.
My child is really struggling with an assignment, what should they do?
We are all working through a situation no one has any experience with. This is new to all of us. I don't expect perfection from your students and encourage you as a family unit to do your best, but not to obsess over individual assignments. The goal during this time is to maintain momentum of your child's learning.
What if we, as a family, need help unrelated to classwork?
As a teacher and as part of the Hamilton Township, I want you to know that we are here to support you. This is a difficult time for everyone. If you need help in anyway do not hesitate to reach out to me.
