We currently use MackinVIA as our platform for ebooks. Students need to login to Clever, which can be found under the resources tab of any district page. Once there, they need to look for my page which says "Mrs. Seksek". They will see the apps and links I have shared with them. Students click on the MackinVIA icon as pictured above and it will take them to the website. From there they can check out and return books, place requests for materials that are already checked out, and mark books as favorites.
As per Ms. Colleen Affrime, Head of Children's Services at Hamilton Free Public Library:
"We now have access to an additional 400+ children's e-book titles through Baker & Taylor's Axis 360. You can connect directly at https://hampl.axis360.baker-taylor.com/ or via the Hamilton Library at hamiltonnjpl.org/download-an-e-book/
Students will need their library card and the password you use for the library to access these books. Directions for downloading are right underneath the link at https://hamiltonnjpl.org/download-an-e-book/ If you need a library card or have forgotten your pin, you can contact email@example.com or call 609-581-4060x4001".
We also have access to Epic! Visit the following address https://www.getepic.com/students and enter our class code. The class code is on Google Classroom as well as Seesaw (in your child's inbox). Students have free access between the hours of 8 am to 4 pm. After 4 pm, students have 2 free hours a week with a parent email connected to your child's account. If you would like to link to your child's account for home use please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
