Class Rules:
Dear Parent,
I would like to take some time to introduce myself as your child’s teacher in this upcoming school year. My name is Mr. Chis-Luca and I will offer a very challenging and rewarding experience for your child. With your encouragement, your child will develop many new skills and problem solving techniques.
Since lifelong success depends in part on learning to make responsible choices, I have developed a classroom discipline plan, which guides every student to make good decisions about his or her behavior. Your child deserves the most positive educational climate possible for his/her growth, and I know that together we will make a difference in this process. The plan below outlines my rules, and consequences for inappropriate behavior. They are as follows:
- Be on time
- Follow directions
- Stay on task
- Cell Phones
- Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself
- No yelling or screaming
- Bring all appropriate materials to class
- No swearing or teasing.
Consequences:
If a student chooses to break a rule, however, the following steps will be taken:
First time a student breaks a rule: Warning
Second time: Discuss the problem with the student
Third time: Call home to address the problem
Fourth time: Call home to set up detention
Fifth time: Alert Administration
Severe Disruption: Alert Administration
Be assured that I intend to provide the best learning environment possible for your child. With your help and your child’s cooperation this task will be achievable. Please read and discuss this classroom discipline plan with your child, then sign and return the form below.
Thank you for your cooperation,
Mr. Chis-Luca
