     Please continue to read with your child over the summer.




    Red Word: The learner will recognize and read grade-appropriate irregularly spelled words.  The learner will read high frequency words with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension.

    Reading:  The learner will read with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension.  TLW ask and answer questions about key details in a text.  TLW describe characters, setting, and major events in a story, using key details.

    Word Work:  TLW know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.  TLW decode regularly spelled one-syllable words., Know finale -e and common vowel teams for representing long vowel sounds.
